Updated Tuesday, June 28, 2016: Visitor parking has been reopened on the east side of the harbor, so we have moved back to our regular launch location at L Dock. Please use 275 Lake Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA 95062 for directions to our regular location. Thank you for your patience during our temporary relocation!
Relocation Dates: June 15–27, 2016
The Team O’Neill catamaran was temporarily moved to the west side of the Santa Cruz Harbor on Wednesday, June 15, and currently launches from AA Dock (directly across the channel from our regular L Dock location). Check-in takes place near the information kiosk at the entrance to the west side dock parking lot. Please refer to the illustrated guide below for our temporary location and Visitor Parking information.
The temporary location change is due to the Santa Cruz Port District’s new dredge assembly project on the east side of the Santa Cruz Harbor. Construction of the new dredge is taking place in the visitor/launch ramp parking lot where most of our passengers usually park, and since that area is closed to cars during the build, we want to make sure all our passengers had access to easy-to-find parking. The construction of the new dredge was originally projected to take 10 days, although that timeline has been prolonged and we’ll continue to update our information accordingly. Please check back for regular updates.
For more information about the dredge project, please see the Santa Cruz Port District website, the live feed of the ongoing construction and this overview posted by the Santa Cruz Sentinel. Please see information about the Santa Cruz Harbor’s free water taxi if you’d like to get over to the east side of the harbor during the parking lot closure.
We appreciate your cooperation with us as we make this temporary move to AA Dock, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at 831-818-3645 or sailingsantacruz@gmail.com.
